Just a dream every time so delicious!
Crazy works of art on cakes, delicious chocolates, pralines and much more ..., you love to stop by !! Cappuccino to go was okay!
The best tartlets and macarons in Munich! ?
Love their little cakes ?
Bought a cake from this cafe yesterday. And found a bug on it. Disgusting. Bought the tartlets. Also found an insect. Dreadful!
Very friendly, helpful. Good expertise. Small patisserie with macarons, pralines, small tarts, etc. Ah, there is also sometimes gluten-free. Very friendly, helpful. Good expertise. Small patisserie with macarons, pralines, small tarts, etc. Ah, there is also gluten-free. Top. Is addicting.
Nice?
All of the desserts look fantastic and they also taste really good. Tried different Macarons and Pink Lady Törtchen.
Everything is delicious there: the coffee, the tart (mango), the pralines. You can also take anything with you and I enjoy it every time I visit and we stop by.
An expensive fancy cake shop with a great selections, but in my my view, the looks of the cakes are the key selling point instead of the tastes, I bought four different variants and everything tastes a touch too sweet...
Fantastic!
Very nice place, nice staff and very tasty food.
Delicate Café and dessert shop where you find some of the prettiest and most tasty cakes in Munich.
Very large selection and everything your sweet heart desires. The macarons and chocolates were absolutely delicious. Find the prices with this quality absolutely justified!
Large selection of tarts and pastries. Everything is nice to look at, tastes good, which is what you can expect at the price level. Delicious coffee, friendly service. The café on the upper floor passes through as useful. Still, it's worth a visit.
I've been shopping here since 2014 and I also like to spend my business appointments here !! With a purchase of 83, - Euro I shouldn't use the toilet on Saturday !! I have explained how urgent my biological situation is but NO !! Humanity?! Therefore 0 stars! And I give 5 stars for the cakes alone!
Delicious apple strudel and custard!
Very good assortment of cakes and patisserie. A must for those who live in Munich
This is one of the best cafes in the Munich area. The little cakes are amazing and in the summer they have very delicious ice cream. The outside seating is in a major shopping alley in Munich, which you may or may not like, but the overall quality of the sweets and the cafe is superb.
The homemade apfelstrudel from Maelu is a must have when you're in Munich. Great variety of cakes and coffees with very professional service.
Restaurant on the promenade right next to St. Mary's Square. Quite a long waiting time for service and ordering, but it was probably related to the time of day (Saturday, 4 pm). The coffees are very good, the cake is a bit too sweet for me. We paid around € 15 for two coffees and a cake.
At around 8 euros per tart it is very expensive, but these are really a feast for the eyes and a treat for the palate. The decision is very difficult with the large selection. In my opinion, gold leaf as an ornament should be avoided, that is too much of a decadence.
Super cool, great cakes ? really worth a visit, I'll be back a bit expensive but if you want something like that you have to pay something normal or ?
I went to Maelu's with my boyfriend for coffee and tartlets. Unfortunately we had to wait more than 30 minutes for our order. The prices were exaggerated, almost 10 euros for a small tart, although they looked nice, but in a normal bakery you can also get delicious tart for a much better price.
The macarons are really very good, the tarts are okay. Nice to look at and with a cafe, a great to-go meal. The cafe on the first floor looks very sterile and fulfills its purpose in bad weather.
The head of the staff there was really mean, unfriendly and unproffessional in an aweful way!
Cakes look fantastic and the place feels very classy, however taste wise not every item is as good as it looks. Staff can be impatient as well. Loved the overall experience and atmosphere, would go back once in a while.
Really good place, it seems expensive but it is completely fair price.
The tartlets are really delicious. The staff was also very friendly but kept us waiting a little. I find the prices a little too high. But if you would like to eat a delicious dessert, you are in good hands there.
Super super disappointed. The visual is great, there is nothing to complain about but the taste is borderline, it is not worthy of the price. This is a really good cafe for Instagrammers, just for taking pictures of the cakes. Little surprise on the bill: 1 € additional per product if you eat there. Go your way
The cakes look fabulous here and the whole thing is really nice to look at. But unfortunately the taste does not keep up with what is presented to the eye. In addition, I have the feeling that the pieces of cake are getting more expensive every time, that at some point it is not worth coming here for the cake.
Café Maelu has a special kitchen line. They are little cakes that taste heavenly! A visit is definitely worth it! A delicious break from the shopping stress! ???
Good toilet. Very fancy cakes
If you want to take a break in the afternoon, you should visit the Maelu. Unusual tarts and very good coffee are served here. Very nice waiters. Price / performance, absolutely top!
I was so excited to finally try those amazing looking cakes but thats actually it! The are just looking amazing but taste is not that mind blowing- cream inside is extremely sweet and the dough is very dry inside. Definately not worth that high price.
Expensive but SUPER
If you pass by Maelu pastry shop you will inevitably notice the very colourful self-made cakes in the window. The shop's specialty is Macarons, which are tasty and authentic like the French original. Maelu is also offering cakes (many with a LOT of icing) and pralinés. Unfortunately, in my opinion there's a much bigger focus on looks than taste though. The quality of cakes and pralinés is good, but I've had much more flavourful in Munich before. Considering this, prices are steep, which probably are justified mainly by the shop's fame and location. You can also sit down in the café area upstairs. Staff is friendly, crowd is "posh".
Stunning cakes, a little pricey but worth it
Delicious cakes and friendly staff

Top
We had the mini-cakes delivered to us due to the lockdown. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the cakes were delicious. Especially the ones with caramel and the 7-dwarfs are something special. Can highly recommend them and am looking forward to having some more at their cafe.
they have the best macarons in munich
One of the best macaroons places in Munich. Try the passionfruit ones!
People use to say this is the best place to eat a cake in Munich. It may be, but half of this is the branding. It is true that they have some fancy cakes, but I find them way too expensive for the taste. So, in other words- they look expensive, they are expensive, but they taste just above average.
Unkind staff
Nice cake and coffee , the staff are not helpful could be better
Very ehpensive for nothing. 0,50 euro one wooden fork for take out.
Too expensive for not very tasty cakes. The interior is ok.
Extremely expensive for an okay taste at best. The macarons are just good enough not to be amazing. The redeeming factor is the place. The prices are higher if you eat there, in comparison to take away, for a barely okay service.
